Community Resources
Our Team, Planners and Leaders
- Thanya Al Saadoon. Yes, she has two "a's" in her last name because of an immigration error when she was a child. Her family in Syria has only one "a." Thanya works in the field of community development in the Cowichan Valley.
- Bev Suderman is a well respected planner and community development professional who works both in the Cowichan Valley and by contract all over North America.
- Katy Tompkins is a planner at the CVRD and a life-long social rights activist.
- Malina Adams graduated in political science and has worked extensively with a number of communities. She presently lives in Vancouver but is still an integral part of our group.
- Genevieve Singleton is a natural history interpreter who is active with the Quaker faith community and who runs her own business with her husband, David Polster.
- David Polster is a biologist and educator who travels extensively on contracts doing biological remediation of damaged lands and waters. He is also an active member of the Quaker faith community.
- Audrey Rogers is a planner with the District of North Cowichan and a member of the local professional women's planning group.
- Sharon Jackson is a 5th term member of Duncan City Council and owns a web site design company called Jackson on the Moon.
